The sea of clouds in Grenoble by night

It was the first time I saw the typical sea of clouds by night. The sky was completely dark, that's why we could see the lights of the city under the clouds. The yellow/orange sea is totally natural. It is exactly what I could see with my eyes. This is the result of a 30 seconds exposure with iso 100 (even if the sky was completely dark).

The view of Grenoble from the Vercors.
At left the Bastille, at right the Belledonne mountain range.
